When was the last time you rode a bike and felt like a kid again? No thoughts roaming through your head over picking up the kids or meeting that deadline at work. You were enjoying the moment more presently than ever.
It’s been a while, right?
Recapturing that feeling is possible with microdosing, a movement that has improved the way we use cannabis by leaps and bounds.
Rather than using cannabis in higher dosages for short periods of time, microdosing promotes using cannabis in small amounts over the course of a day.
The benefits of microdosing include reduced stress, minimized anxiety, and increased sensations. Plus, you don’t get as psychoactively high as you typically would in a more intense form of usage. Instead, you’re just even keel all day long.
Now, it’s much more easier for you to be mindful and present during your regular bike ride or happy hour with friends. But when, exactly, should you try microdosing?
Well, that’s up to you. But we’ve put together a list of some of our five favorite activities to use during:
1. Get into the flow
Grab your yoga mat and get into a microdosing flow by incorporating it at the beginning of your session. Also, exercises like jogging or brisk walking are low-impact and casual enough to encourage relaxation when combined with cannabis.
2. Micro-life of the party
Do you ever experience social anxiety? Got a big party coming up? Meeting your significant other’s parents for the first time? Often we reach for a drink whenever we are feeling the jitters in a large crowd or around new people.
Overcoming those feelings on our own is hard. We know that cannabis reduces stress and anxiety levels. Microdosing will help you manage your nerves in a healthy, sustainable way.
3. Microdosing the muse
If you are an artist, a writer, or a musician you know that getting in your creative zone is sometimes not the simplest task. The muse doesn’t always want to go to work, despite the work schedule you may need.
Many of our greatest creatives have used cannabis to help magnify their creative process allowing them to be more in tune with their craft. Try microdosing before you start your project to sustain your creative progress throughout your work time.
4. Recipe calls for no more than 2.5mg…
Can you imagine your taste buds dancing in excitement after each bite of your favorite dish? Cannabis intensifies the taste of food. It heightens your flavor receptors when you are eating as well as your sense of smell, creating an unparalleled, sensual experience.
Try microdosing and set aside some time to cook. If you are entertaining, encourage guests to do the same, by the time dinner is ready everyone’s tastes buds are prepped better than any appetizer could.
5. Microdosin’ and relaxin’ all cool
If you enjoy unwinding after a long day by taking a bath, going for a walk, or just merely reading a good book, cannabis can intensify your leisure. Try a small edible or a small hit off a vape pen and enjoy your favorite relaxation routine.
You’ll see that what was already something enjoyable and effective is now even more so. If you thought you were relaxed before, you’ll know the true meaning of it now.
While it may sound like cannabis is a great way to unwind or keep yourself on an even keel, it’s also a wonderful tool to increase productivity. As one woman who escaped Hurricane Florence knows, the liberating aspects of cannabis can help you accomplish whatever you need to.
Whether it’s saving your family, or just a casual yoga practice, infusing cannabis in your life through microdosing is a fantastic practice for everyone.
